Main Street Broadband is excited to announce its roll-out of broadband services in Decatur County, Georgia. Starting in Bainbridge, Georgia, Main Street Broadband will be adding its first customers to its broadband network in the next couple of weeks. Over the next few months, Main Street Broadband will be expanding its high speed Internet service throughout the county to include communities such as Brinson, Climax, and Attapulgus, Georgia.

Many people have been asking how we are able to provide high speed internet when other companies have not. The answer is Main Street Broadband uses the latest in wireless broadband technology referred to as WiMax. In many cases we are able to reach homes otherwise un-served by traditional broadband service providers.

Grand Opening Waycross, GA - Success

The Grand Opening of Main Street Broadband in Waycross, GA was a success. DJ Scot Ryfun with 102.5 once again did a great job. Lot's of prizes were given away. Over 50 people walked away with a gift from Main Street Broadband. Many excited customers came in wanting Main Street Broadband internet service.

Although the temperature reached 102 degrees and probably felt like 110, the great people of Waycross, GA came by to welcome us to the area. The local employees were on hand to answer any questions.

More rural communities in the US will have access to broadband services

Atlanta, GA - March 19, 2009 – Main Street Broadband LLC announced today that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Broadband South LLC, whose services are branded as Main Street Broadband, has begun build out of its advanced wireless network utilizing its recently closed $34 million USDA Rural Development Loan. The loan directly supports Main Street’s efforts to bring affordable wireless broadband services to over 120 communities in southern Georgia and northern Florida, and provides a key stimulus to economic development in the region.

“This is a great program and initiative,” states Mike Mies, Co-Founder and CEO of Main Street Broadband, “The USDA’s support for making broadband services available to rural communities and Main Street’s mission to provide and manage a state-of-the-art network for high speed internet and digital voice services is a winning combination.”

The communities targeted by Main Street have limited or no access to broadband services as a result of the high cost to run cable or fiber to provide the services. Fixed and mobile wireless broadband technologies are now able to provide reliable access at higher speeds and with a greater reach, making Main Street Broadband’s voice and data services affordable for the end users.

Main Street Broadband is deploying WiMax technology to provide voice and data services to each community the company serves. Broadband services support economic development for the businesses of these small communities as well as provide high speed internet access in most homes. Main Street is launching its WiMax service in Waycross, Georgia.

Main Street Broadband is not new to providing rural broadband services. Currently the company is operating in several communities in south east Georgia through its acquisition of Coastal Broadband in 2008.

Main Street Broadband Announces Re-Branding of Coastal Broadband Services

Atlanta, GA– February 10, 2009 – Main Street Broadband LLC announced that its Coastal Broadband operations will now be marketed under the Main Street Broadband brand name. Coastal Broadband, a leader in providing high speed internet throughout Southeast Georgia, was acquired by Main Street Broadband in 2008.

“The acquisition and name change reflects our commitment to meeting our communities' ever-evolving technology needs while providing greater choice and competitive prices,” said Ronald Ham, Founder of Coastal Broadband and VP of Operations for Main Street Broadband. “Combining efforts with Main Street Broadband will allow us to expand our services to more communities at a quicker pace,” continues Ham.

Main Street Broadband is already focusing resources to expand its service footprint. It plans to roll out Waycross and Folkston, Georgia by the end of the 2nd Quarter of this year and many more communities by the end of this year. “As our business partnership strengthens, the focus remains unchanged.
